Description
An attractive, bright gold cultivar of PHAS with occasional thin, vertical, green stripes around the cane (no sulcus stripe). The side of the culms facing the sun will shade a beautiful red color for a few months a year. Coloring is brightest when canes have 3-5 hours morning sun per day, but this plant can also tolerate some shade. Pale pink shoots. Shorter overall height than PHAS. Named after Beijing’s most famous Tibetan Buddhist temple, Yonghe Lama Temple, constructed in 1694.
